In Barcelona, hope from a 12th-minute goal from Raphinha quickly spiraled into despair as Ronald Araujo was dismissed in the 29th minute leading to four unanswered goals from PSG in a 4-1 victory (6-4 on aggregate). Xavi Hernandez was also red carded during the match for showing his displeasure with the refereeing. Kylian Mappe netted a brace to score his 15th knockout round away goal in the Champions League where he only trails Cristiano Ronaldo's 23.

Dortmund won 4-2 at home withstanding an Atletico Madrid comeback to advance 5-4 on aggregate behind a goal and two assists from Marcel Sabitzer. This has been an un-Diego Simione-like Madrid side all season and their issues came to a head allowing four goals away from home. With a 7-5-9 record in away matches this season, they now have a plus one goal difference outside of the confines of home scoring 33 and conceding 32. Axel Witsel was unable to keep up with Dortmund's attack and Julian Brandt and Sabitzer made sure to make him pay. With a chance that they could miss out on Champions League qualification next season, Dortmund will look to put everything possible into their semifinal match with PSG.
For PSG, a victory keeps their hopes alive in trying to capture an ever-elusive Champions League title in what could be Mbappe's final season at the club. With strong performances from Vitinha, Bradley Barcola, and Ousmane Dembele, once Barcelona went down to 10 men, it was all over.
