More Bracketology: Bubble Watch | Compare two teams | Palm Reader

SMU highlighted the bubble action this weekend with an easy win at home over Cincinnati.  That's the third big win for the Mustangs in a week and a half, which has put them more comfortably into the bracket.  However, all three of those wins came at home, and those are the only three wins SMU has against top 100 RPI opponents, so the Mustangs can't rest too easy.

Another home court hero is Kansas State.  The Wildcats beat Texas over the weekend, which is another really good win for them, but like all their other good wins, it came in front of a friendly crowd.

St. John's made a splash last night with a win over Creighton at home.  That is the Red Storm's best win of the year by far.  That's six wins in their last seven games, but it's still not quite enough to get them in the bracket.

Saint Joseph's also picked up a big win at home, beating VCU on Saturday.  Like the Johnnies, this win helps, but isn't enough to push the Hawks into the field.

Arizona State blew an enormous lead at home againt Oregon, but held on to pick up the win.  Both teams are in the bracket, but the Ducks are still in the First Four.

Xavier, Minnesota and Mississippi also picked up bubble wins this weekend, and like everyone on this list, those wins came at home.  The fastest way off the bubble is to beat a tournament team on the road.  Until that kind of thing happens, these teams will continue to ride the fence.
