After a fast start to his junior campaign, 2014 offensive lineman Quenton Nelson's recruiting stock is quickly rising.

The 6-foot-5, 295-pound lineman from Red Bank Catholic (Red Bank, N.J.) picked up an offer from Ohio State on Monday, according to Scott Stump.

Head coach Jim Portela confirmed the news to MaxPreps on Tuesday.

Nelson, who plays both ways for Red Bank Catholic, looked impressive in the team's season opener against Red Bank Regional and standout defensive end Garrett Sickels, a Penn State commit.

According to Portela, Nelson also has offers from Rutgers, Penn State, Boston College and Old Dominion.

Florida State, Wisconsin, Notre Dame and Oregon are among the schools showing interest in Nelson, Portela told MaxPreps.

Ohio State does not currently have any commits for its class of 2014. However, the Buckeyes are pursuing several elite offensive linemen, including Jimmy ByrneBraden Smithand Damian Prince.
