Locke (biceps) is scheduled to throw off a mound Saturday, the Miami Herald reports. "I think we're progressing pretty well," Locke said Wednesday.
He's still expected to begin the season on the DL, however, and a late-April or early-May return seems to be the best-case scenario for Locke given how little work he was able to get in during spring training. Depending on the state of the Marlins' rotation when he's finally healthy, the left-hander could fill either a starting spot or a long-relief role, or both, this season.
