The Mets outrighted Alvarez to Triple-A Syracuse on Monday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

He'll remain in the organization after going unclaimed when the Mets exposed him to waivers over the weekend. The 30-year-old right-hander hasn't made a big-league appearance since 2015 and had pitched exclusively for Syracuse this season, producing a 3.16 ERA and 33:19 K:BB across 31.1 innings.
