De Los Santos was claimed off waivers by the Reds on Tuesday.
De Los Santos has spent time at both Double-A and Triple-A within the Nationals organization this season, amassing a combined 3.67 ERA across 29 appearances. He'll join the Reds 40-man roster and will initially be optioned to Double-A Pensacola.
