The reigning World Series champion Chicago Cubs have gotten off to a bit of a slow start this season, going 8-7 in their first 15 games. They have won two straight after losing four of their previous five games.

The Cubs will be fine, of course, because their roster is loaded with young impact talent. That talent not only helps the Cubs on the field, but it also gives them some of the most popular player jerseys in baseball. Here, via MLB and the Major League Baseball Players Association, are the 10 most popular jerseys according to online sales at MLBshop.com:

  1. Kris Bryant, Cubs
  2. Anthony Rizzo, Cubs
  3. Clayton Kershaw, Dodgers
  4. Javier Baez, Cubs
  5. Kyle Schwarber, Cubs
  6. Noah Syndergaard, Mets
  7. Corey Seager, Dodgers
  8. Buster Posey, Giants
  9. Gary Sanchez, Yankees
  10. Mike Trout, Angels

Bryant's jersey is the most popular selling jersey among all players since the start of the 2015 season. Others in the top 20 include Giants ace Madison Bumgarner (No. 12) and Nationals slugger Bryce Harper (No. 15).

The average age of players on this year's best selling jerseys list is 26.5 years, making this the youngest such list in history by more than 1.5 years. Baseball is loaded with young talent right now and fans are very willing to spend money to represent their favorite teams and players. Especially Cubs fans, apparently.
