MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) Matt Linehan threw three touchdown passes and the defense forced six turnovers to lead Idaho to a 37-12 win over Georgia State on Saturday.

Jayshawn Jordan had two of the Vandals' four interceptions, Lloyd Hightower returned a blocked punt 25 yards for the final touchdown for Idaho (8-4, 6-2 Sun Belt) and Austin Rehkow kicked three field goals.

The game started as a shootout as Linehan threw touchdown passes of 11 yards to Callen Hightower and 4 yards to Trent Cowan while Conner Manning had a 63-yard score with Jawan Nobles and an 11-yarder to Ari Werts. However, the Panthers failed on both extra points to trail 14-12 midway through the second quarter.

Cowan then hauled in a 17-yard strike from Linehan and Rehkow made his first field goal for a 24-12 halftime lead.

Georgia State (3-9, 2-6) had a 358-287 advantage in total offense but the Vandals scored 23 points after turnovers.
