Texas vs. Kansas State Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Friday's NCAA Football game

The Kansas State Wildcats are 1-5 against the Texas Longhorns since October of 2015, but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. K-State and Texas will face off in a Big 12 battle at noon ET at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium/Jamail Field. Given that these two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

The Wildcats came up short against the Baylor Bears this past Saturday, falling 20-10. A silver lining for K-State was the play of RB Deuce Vaughn, who rushed for one TD and 128 yards on 11 carries. That touchdown -- a 65-yard rush in the second quarter -- was one of the highlights of the game.

Meanwhile, Texas came up short against the West Virginia Mountaineers this past Saturday, falling 31-23. RB Keilan Robinson put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for one TD and 111 yards on nine carries. That nimble footwork stands out as the first time Robinson has hit the 100-yard rushing mark this season.

K-State is expected to lose this next one by 3. Those burned by picking them against the spread this past Saturday might want to keep in mind that the squad has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.

The losses put the Wildcats at 7-4 and the Longhorns at a reciprocal 4-7. A couple defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: K-State is 155th worst in the nation in rushing touchdowns allowed, with 13 on the season. Texas has experienced some rushing struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the matchup with the 229th most rushing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up 24 on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
