Flacco to Cooper = ELITE

I'm going to keep using the "Joe Flacco elite" joke because what he's done since being named Browns QB1 is insane. He entered Sunday 2-1 as the starter, and he's on his way to a third win after he uncorked a bomb to Amari Cooper for the 75-yard touchdown.

King Henry airs it out!

OK, so he didn't air it out, per se, but Derrick Henry still threw a touchdown! The Titans star RB took the handoff and ran to the right before lofting the ball into the end zone for a wide-open Chigoziem Okonkwo. The 12-yard touchdown marked the fourth passing score of King Henry's illustrious career.

Back-to-back turnovers

  • First two drives between the Lions and Vikings: two touchdowns
  • Next two drives: two turnovers

Shortly after Jahmyr Gibbs put the ball on the carpet for the Vikings to recover, Nick Mullens threw an interception (albeit on fourth down) to rookie Brian Branch to give Detroit the ball back.

Deck the Hall(s) with lots of Jets points

I know the Commanders defense is bad, but this is pathetic. The Jets now have 17 points in the first quarter after Breece Hall burst through the left side and was off to the races for a 36-yard score.

Joe Flacco = escape artist

If Joe Flacco somehow finds some pocket mobility, the rest of the league needs to watch out. He's 38 years old!

Heinicke szn

If the Falcons want to make the playoffs, Taylor Heinicke will most likely have to lead them there. Reinserted as the starter for Desmond Ridder, Heinicke's first possession resulted in a touchdown. The two big plays were a 32-yard run from Bijan Robinson and then a 24-yard dart from Heinicke to Kyle Pitts for the score.

Blocked punt leads to TD

Jets fans probably don't want to win this game so they can get a better draft pick, but the Jets players are playing really well to start their game against the Commanders. First drive: an interception leads to a field goal. Second drive: a blocked punt leads to a Trevor Siemian touchdown pass to Jason Brownlee.

Welcome back, J.T.

After missing three games after undergoing thumb surgery, Jonathan Taylor returned Sunday and has made an immediate impact. First drive: 6 carries, 22 yards and a goal line score to put the Colts up on the Falcons.

Yet another INT

Are we sure Sam Howell is the guy? We thought so about a month ago, but he's performed poorly recently, and he was tied for the NFL lead in interceptions entering Sunday.

He took sole possession of that unwanted statistic in the opening minutes Sunday, throwing his 16th pick of the year that led to a Jets field goal.

ELITE pass leads to Browns TD

Twenty seconds into the game, and Browns QB Joe Flacco has already hit a deep ball to Amari Cooper. Two defenders were around Cooper, but it didn't matter. 53-yard pickup. A few plays later, Jerome Ford took the wildcat snap and ran in a score to put Cleveland up 7-0 on Houston.

Good morning and welcome to Week 16 of the NFL season.
