NACOGDOCHES, Texas (AP) Ty Charles heated up in the second half to score 21 points, leading Stephen F. Austin to an 87-79 victory over Incarnate Word on Thursday night.

Charles, scoreless in the first period, made 10 of 15 from the floor for the game. TJ Holyfield added 13 points and pulled down 14 rebounds to tie his career high. Dallas Cameron had 13 points and Leon Gilmore III chipped in 12 for SFA (13-11, 8-4), which moved into a second place tie in the Southland Conference with Sam Houston State, one game behind New Orleans.

Incarnate Word held a 29-27 halftime advantage. Cameron drilled a 3-point jumper to take a 36-35 lead at the 16:23 mark. The Lumberjacks pushed that to 58-47 advantage midway in the second period and won the second half 60-50.

Jalin Hart had a career-best 34 points, hitting 5 of 7 from beyond the arc, for Incarnate Word (10-13, 5-7).
