The 49ers signed Snead to their practice squad Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Snead signed with the 49ers at the beginning of August but failed to make the team's initial 53-man roster. However, he'll stick around the organization as a veteran depth piece on the practice squad. The 49ers' wideout corps lacks an established No. 3 option behind Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk, so it's possible Snead sees a promotion before too long.
