A product of Boston College, Sanford has drawn into two games this season for the Caps, failing to record any points but adding a minor penalty. Various scouts suggest the 21-year-old is very much a work in progress, though Sanford's offensive talent was evident at the collegiate level, as he sank 13 goals to complement 26 helpers in only 41 games last campaign.
