Dallas at Tampa Bay

Stars 2, Lightning 1 (OT)

TAMPA, Fla. -- The Dallas Stars had a month to remember.

Ladislav Nagy scored with 3:25 left in overtime to give Dallas a 2-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night.

Nagy scored from the slot off a pass from Mike Ribeiro, who was positioned behind the net.

"He was looking for me and he's a great passer," Nagy said. "That was an unbelievable pass. I just closed my eyes, I shot it and it goes in."

Jere Lehtinen had the other Dallas goal and Marty Turco made 19 saves. The Stars have won eight straight at Tampa Bay.

Dallas went 8-2-1 this month, its second-best February ever in terms of points.

"There's not really a bad area of our game right now," Turco said. "We've been playing some tight games pretty much all year long anyway. It's something that we're getting used to and comfortable with."

The Stars are 29-18 in games decided by two or fewer goals this season.

"I think it's a team effort throughout," Ribeiro said. "Everybody played great. It was a good win."

Brad Richards scored for the Lightning, who are 17-5-2 over the last 24 games. Johan Holmqvist stopped 26 shots.

"That is probably one of most mobile teams we've seen all year long," Tampa Bay coach John Tortorella said. "We never had the puck all night long. We're very fortunate to get a point. They were a better hockey team."

Dallas also was busy off the ice, obtaining defenseman Mattias Norstrom, right wing Konstantin Pushkarev and two draft picks from Los Angeles for defenseman Jaroslav Modry and three draft choices.

Lehtinen put the Stars ahead 1-0 with a power-play goal from the low left circle off a pass by Mike Modano at 10:59 of the second. He has scored a goal in three straight games.

Richards tied it at 1 on a short-handed breakaway with 18.5 seconds left in the second. The center has four goals and 16 points during a nine-game point streak.

"Unlucky break on the one we gave up at the end, but our guys hung with it and that's what we talked about," Dallas coach Dave Tippett said. "We've got to stay with games and find ways to win, and we found a way tonight."

Tampa Bay had a two-minute 5-on-3 power play early in the second, but failed to score after getting just two shots.

Both goalies came up big during the first, when the Stars outshot Tampa Bay 8-5.

Turco stopped Vincent Lecavalier's in-close backhander, and Holmqvist turned aside Modano's shot from the right circle.

Lecavalier had his eight-game point streak end. He had seven goals and 14 points over the stretch.

Dallas C Eric Lindros (groin) returned after missing the previous six games. He hit the post with a shot with 13 minutes left to play. The center hasn't had a goal since Nov. 20, a personal span of 25 games. ... The last time Tampa Bay won at home against the Stars was Feb. 19, 1996. ... The Lightning acquired LW Karl Stewart and a sixth-round draft choice in 2008 from Chicago for RW Nikita Alexeev. Tampa Bay also got RW Jason Ward from Los Angeles for a 2007 fifth-round draft choice.
