Madrid toppled a 10-man Celtic side, scoring six goals including braces from Alvaro Morata and Antoine Griezmann to get the largest win in Champions League history while Pepe became the oldest scorer in Champions League history as his stoppage time goal sent Porto joint top of the group alongside Barcelona. Group G became the first group to get settled at the top with Manchester City and RB Leipzig officially qualifying for the round of 16 leaving Crvena Zvezda and Young Boys to fight for third and a Europea League spot. Royal Antwerp also pick up the dubious distinction of being eliminated without a single point to their name through four matches.
