Earlier this summer, MaxPreps documented the trend of early recruiting and colleges wooing recruits who have yet to enter high school.

In the past few weeks, the trend has accelerated.

Offering players before they enter high school is not completely unheard of. Remember when Wake Forest offered Chris Leak as an eighth grader? Or when seventh-grade quarterback David Sills committed to USC?

More players than ever before can boast scholarship offers before ninth grade. Here's the current rundown.
