Oscar De La Hoya has no problem slipping in punches when he can. So it should come as no surprise that the promotional video for Saturday's all-Mexican showdown between Canelo Alvarez and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on Cinco de Mayo weekend featured a slight jab at President Donald Trump.

The promo shows both fighters standing tall in front of a huge wall before running and breaking through to reach the main event in Las Vegas. De La Hoya said it was a slight jab at some of the things Trump has said about building a wall between the United States and Mexico.

"Trump is a big supporter of boxing, he loves boxing," De La Hoya told TMZ. "I remember he went to several of my fights, he promoted several of [Mike] Tyson's fights. It was a little jab at him, to get his hair a little rattled. We want to show him you have two Mexican national fighters busting through the wall. And guess what? They're going to have such an economic impact in Vegas. They're going to generate so much money. It's two Mexicans who are doing great, unlike what he has stated in the past. It was a little jab, but it was all in good fun."

De La Hoya went on to invite Trump to Saturday's showdown in Las Vegas, but there's no word yet on whether he'll attend.

"I want to take this opportunity to invite Mr. Donald Trump to the fight on Cinco De Mayo weekend, pop open a little Tecate cerveza, have a little tequila, enjoy the fight and go back to Mar-A-Lago and run the country."
