ATLANTA (AP) Ty Gordon and Desmond Williams combined for 47 points, Williams hit critical free throws and Gordon stole a final possession as Troy rallied past two-time defending conference champion Georgia State 84-78 on Saturday to snap a three-game losing streak.

The comeback win by Troy (9-15, 5-8 Sun Belt) handed Georgia State (15-8, 8-4) it's first home loss in 15 games.

Gordon scored 24 points and Williams 23 - both career highs - as Troy used a late 8-0 run to grab a 79-76 lead with 35 seconds left. Kane Williams scored on a putback to make it 79-78 with 12 seconds left, but missed a potential go-ahead basket with four seconds to go.

Troy sealed the win in the final second when Desmond Williams sank two free throws, Gordon swiped the ball and Williams hit from 3 as time expired.

KJ Simon had 14 points and 10 rebounds and Davion Thomas added 13 points for Troy, which scored a season-high 52 points in the first half.

Corey Allen had 25 points and seven rebounds to lead the Panthers. Justin Roberts added 14 points and Kane Williams 13.

Troy faces South Alabama at home on Friday. Georgia State matches up against Louisiana-Lafayette on the road on Thursday.
