  • Jack Kopacka: Headed for Europe

Kopacka will join Swedish club Kristianstads IK after signing a contract Monday, AHL Insider Tony Androcktis reports. Kopacka failed to receive a qualifying offer by the Senators and will now spend the year playing for a second-tier club in Sweden. As such, fantasy players probably shouldn't be expecting Kopacka to ever become an NHL-caliber talent.

  • Jack Kopacka: Won't receive qualifying offer

Kopacka won't be qualified by the Senators, which means he'll become an unrestricted free agent Monday, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports. Kopacka hasn't appeared in an NHL contest since being selected by Ottawa in the fourth round of the 2016 Entry Draft, and this news suggests the Senators don't believe the 23-year-old winger has top-level upside. Kopacka will likely now set his sights on landing a two-way deal with another organization for the 2021-22 campaign.
