Europa League scores: Manchester United conceded two own goals to draw Sevilla; Juventus beat Sporting CP

After two days of Champions League soccer, Thursday's action saw the first legs of the Europa League's quarterfinals take place around Europe. Manchester United dominated the home match against Sevilla but then drew 2-2 at Old Trafford with an incredible comeback of the away team in the last minutes of the game off to own goals. United had a good start and scored twice with Austrian loanee Marcel Sabitzer but then later towards the end of the match conceded two goals to the away side with the own goals of Tyrell Malacia and Harry Maguire. The Red Devils need to win next week in Spain in what is expected to be a very difficult match as Portuguese midfielder and key player Bruno Fernandes will miss it due to suspension.

In Turin, Juventus won 1-0 against Sporting CP with the deciding goal scored by defender Federico Gatti in the second part of the game. However, the game will be remembered for a moment of fear in the first half when Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny asked to be subbed off after experiencing chest pains. Luckily, the scary moment received a positive update when the club's Twitter account posted a message stating, "After an initial check, everything is OK."

Bayer Leverkusen and Union SG drew 1-1 in Germany, while AS Roma lost 1-0 away against Feyenoord and Jose Mourinho's team need to overturn the result in the second leg at the Stadio Olimpico next Thursday if they are to stay alive.

Szczesny in tears

There are now some concerns about Juventus' goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, who was forced to be replaced by Mattia Perin. It's not clear what happened to the goalkeeper who was in tears while he was touching his chest, as he couldn't breath well. This is definitely a situation to keep an eye on later after the match.

Big saves

Juventus' goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny was forced to some big saves here on Coates first and then on Gonçalves. The Polish goalkeeper was crucial here in chances as Juventus risked to concede. Sporting CP are pushing a lot in these last minutes.

The opening 20

Both sides had one chance to score the opening goal of the game, but apart of that it seems that the Giallorossi are more trying to defend the draw as of now. Paulo Dybala also had one chance to score with a free-kick but his attempt went outside.
