WATCH: Rory McIlroy hits 410-yard drive in Texas, still loses match

Dwayne Johnson (a.k.a. “The Rock”) claimed to have hit a 490-yard drive this week on the set of HBO’s “Ballers.” That seems, to put it as kindly as possible to a man with muscles the size of my toddlers, dubious.

What we do know is that Rory McIlroy hit a 410-yard drive at the WGC-Dell Match Play on Wednesday in Austin, Texas. McIlroy, who went on to lose to Soren Kjeldsen 2 and 1, went bombs away on the 582-yard par-5 12th hole.

Rickie Fowler actually also hit a 410-yard drive at this hole last year, but this is the second-longest drive on the PGA Tour this season. Seven of the others in the top 10 came at the Tournament of Champions in Hawaii.

Dustin Johnson still holds the 2016-17 season record at 428 yards.
