CBSSports.com Insider Jon Heyman reports that the Dodgers are in serious talks with outfielder Bobby Abreu, who was recently cut loose by the Angels. A major-league contract is being discussed, but other teams are also interested in the 38-year-old Abreu.

The Dodgers are concerned about Adam Kennedy's lack of production thus far and might be interested in adding another left-handed bench bat. Abreu was hitting .208/.259/.333 in 27 plate appearances at the time of his release. He could, however, provide decent on-base skills from the left side.
