It's becoming a refrain: for the third time this week, a Toronto starting pitcher has been injured.

This time it's right-hander Drew Hutchison, who departed his Friday night start against the Phillies after just nine pitches with what's being called elbow soreness. On the season, the 21-year-old Hutchison has a 4.60 ERA in 58.2 innings pitched.

On Wednesday, Brandon Morrow hit the DL with a strained oblique, and mere hours before Hutchison's injury it was announced that Kyle Drabek may be facing Tommy John surgery for a second time after being diagnosed with a partially torn ulnar-collateral ligament. And all of this is to say nothing of Dustin McGowan, whose rehab schedule has been halted because of recurring shoulder pain.

Brett Cecil was recently recalled, which means that the Jays now have three healthy starters on the roster: Cecil, Ricky Romero and Henderson Alvarez. Obviously, the Jays must be desperately hoping that Hutchison's injury isn't serious, but you can forgive them if they're expecting the worst at this point.
