Kyle Larson registered 10 victories en route to the NASCAR Cup Series championship last season but has struggled this year, recording just one win in 18 starts. However, the 29-year-old has posted the second-most top-five finishes with eight and has performed well of late, as he was fourth at Nashville and third at Road America in his last two outings. Larson will aim for his first checkered flag in 10 career Cup Series starts at Atlanta Motor Speedway when he gets behind the wheel for the 2022 Quaker State 400 on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.

Larson is the 9-1 favorite in the latest 2022 Quaker State 400 odds from Caesars Sportsbook. Ryan Blaney, Kyle Busch, Ross Chastain, Chase Elliott and Denny Hamlin round out the top 2022 NASCAR at Atlanta contenders at 10-1. You'll want to check out the NASCAR at Atlanta predictions from Micah Roberts, the legendary Vegas bookmaker who pioneered wagering on racing, before locking in any 2022 Quaker State 400 picks of your own.

Roberts, a former Vegas bookmaker, was the first to offer expanded NASCAR betting, and now hands out NASCAR winners to his followers on SportsLine. Roberts is the nation's premier NASCAR betting expert, and his top pick, Elliott, won the Jockey Made in America 250 last season.

He also correctly predicted the 2021 Coca-Cola 600 winner, hitting Larson's victory at 11-2 odds, and was on point by targeting Elliott as the winner of the EchoPark Texas Grand Prix at 8-5 odds the previous week. In addition, Roberts nailed last year's GEICO 500 when he predicted Brad Keselowski to win at 14-1 odds. Anyone who has followed his picks has cashed tickets.

Now, Roberts has analyzed the field and odds for Sunday's NASCAR at Atlanta 2022 race and just locked in his picks and predictions. He's only sharing his winner and projected leaderboard at SportsLine.

2022 Quaker State 400 expert picks

One shocker: Roberts is low on Kyle Larson, even though he's the overall race favorite. In fact, Roberts says Larson, who has been runner-up at Atlanta twice, barely even cracks the top 20.

"Larson has been good at Atlanta in the past but never won," Roberts told SportsLine. "Now, the new faster and steeper-banked track will be tougher for him."

Another curveball: Roberts is high on Kurt Busch, even though he's an 18-1 long shot in the latest 2022 NASCAR at Atlanta odds. The 43-year-old former Cup Series champion has won this race the last three times it was run, beginning in 2009. Starting with his win at Kansas on May 15, Busch has alternated strong performances with disappointing ones, and he's due for a strong showing after finishing 23rd at Road America last weekend if that trend continues.

"Busch had the best finish by a Toyota in the first Atlanta race (this season) with third place, and it's not a surprise," Roberts told SportsLine. "He's been the winner there four times in his career, most recently in this race last year. In 32 Cup Series starts on the track, he's led 952 laps." See who else to pick here.

How to make 2022 Quaker State 400 predictions

Roberts is high on a massive long shot who "was dominant at times in the March race on Atlanta's new surface and configuration." This driver is being underestimated by oddsmakers, and anyone who backs him could hit it big. You can only see who it is and get the rest of Roberts' NASCAR at Atlanta picks at SportsLine.
