J.C. Lipon: Headed for KHL
Lipon agreed to terms on a one-year deal with KHL side Dinamo Riga on Wednesday, Carter Brooks of Game On magazine reports.
Lipon will test the waters of European hockey for the first time in his career. The 27-year-old winger hasn't appeared in an NHL game for Winnipeg since 2015-16, when he logged nine games. Lipon was set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason and may have struggled to secure more than an AHL-only offer.

Jets' J.C. Lipon: Headed for minors
Lipon was waived for the purpose of reassignment by the Jets on Monday, Ken Wiebe of The Athletic reports.
Lipon hasn't played in an NHL game since the 2015-16 campaign and will have to wait longer to get another shot. Perhaps if Kyle Connor or Patrik Laine remained unsigned, the 26-year-old Lipon would have had a shot at a roster spot, but instead the winger will start the year in the minors, where he figures to spend the bulk of the upcoming season.

Lipon agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract with the Jets on Thursday.
Lipon spent the entirety of the 2018-19 campaign with AHL Manitoba, notching 11 goals and 26 points in 60 games. The 2013 third-round pick hasn't appeared in an NHL contest since 2015-16 and is nothing more than an organizational depth option at this stage in his career.

Lipon was facing an uphill battle securing a spot on the 23-man roster for Opening Night. However, back-to-back 30-point campaigns with AHL Manitoba should have him on the team's radar should the need arise to promote a player from the minors.

Jets' J.C. Lipon: Signs one-year deal
Lipon has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Jets worth $650,000 at the NHL level, Jim Toth of TSN 1290 Winnipeg reports.
Lipon remains on the same contract he has played with the Jets each of the last two seasons. He hasn't dressed for an NHL game since 2015-16, but he posted 38 points -- 17 goals and 21 assists -- over 68 games with AHL Manitoba last season and will remain an organizational depth option.

Lipon spent the entire 2016-17 campaign with AHL Manitoba and has just nine NHL games under his belt, but the club appears willing to meet the one-year, $715,000 qualifying number in order to retain his rights. In each of his last two minor-league seasons, the winger has recorded 30 points -- production that doesn't quite match his three 100-plus-point years in the WHL. Where the 23-year-old starts out this upcoming season will largely depend on his performance at training camp this fall.

Lipon (upper body) was waived by the Jets on Tuesday for the purpose of reassignment.
As required by league rules, Lipon was cleared of his upper-body injury prior to be waived. The 23-year-old saw action in just nine NHL contests last season in which he tallied one helper and five PIM while averaging a meager 6:58 in ice time per night. Given the talent above him, the winger will likely spend the bulk of the 2016-17 campaign in the AHL.

Lipon missed the last 12 games of the regular season battling an upper body injury, but is expected to be healthy and ready to go for the start of the 2016-17 campaign. The 23-year-old made just nine appearances for Winnipeg last year and managed just one helper and five PIM in those outings. Fantasy owners can likely expect the winger to spend the bulk of the season refining his game in the AHL, but will certainly be a call-up option when injuries occur.

Lipon (upper body) is out of the lineup against the Cancuks on Tuesday, Brad Ziemer of the Vancouver Sun reports.
Lipon has missed the previous two contests since going down with an upper-body injury Mar. 16. The rookie winger offers very little in terms of fantasy value as he is averaging under seven minutes of ice time per game. While he has potted 13 scores in the AHL this season, the 22-year-old is still looking for that first NHL goal.

Lipon tallied an assist, three hits and a plus-1 rating in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Habs.
While Lipon still has yet to register his first NHL goal, he wasted no time getting his first NHL point on Saturday. This was only his third NHL contest, and his first since he got called up from NHL Manitoba on Friday. Lipon isn't really worth a look yet at this point in his young career, but he may get there in time.

Lipon was recalled from the Manitoba Moose of the AHL on Friday.
Lipon was recalled to round out the Jets' forward depth after Nikolaj Ehlers (eye) and Anthony Peluso (upper body) went down with injuries Thursday. The 22 year old has appeared in two games for Winnipeg this season and failed to register a point in either, but has been an effective player for the Moose, scoring 13 goals and 30 points in 45 games.

Lipon was reassigned to AHL Manitoba on Saturday.
Lipon was demoted to clear a spot on the Jets' 23-man roster for Drew Stafford (undisclosed), who was activated from injured reserve Saturday. The former third-round pick made his NHL debut during his first stint with the big club, registering 7:11 of ice time and one hit Monday against the Avalanche.

Lipon was recalled from AHL Manitoba on Sunday after notching 17 points (eight goals, nine assists) in 30 games with the affiliate. The third-round pick from the 2013 NHL Entry Draft will finally get a chance to test his talents at the NHL level, but his ice time will likely be limited playing alongside Andrew Copp and Anthony Peluso on the fourth line.

Lipon was recalled from AHL Manitoba on Sunday, Paul Friesen of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Since being drafted in 2013, Lipon has scored 85 points in three seasons in the AHL. He's only had eight goals this season in 30 games, but that shouldn't stop him from making his NHL debut with the Jets sometime soon.
