|(5/24/16) Lang signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Wild on Tuesday.|
The Wild selected Lang with the 167th overall pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. The 19-year-old forward primarily split time between the Calgary Hitmen and the Vancouver Giants of the WHL last season, notching an impressive 63 points (27 goals, 36 assists) over 69 games. Lang also spent time with AHL Iowa towards the end of the 2015-16 campaign, tallying three points (two goals, one assist) over 11 games. The British Columbia native likely won't ever develop into an elite scorer in the NHL, but could evolve into a solid two-way forward for the Wild. Lang will likely spend the entirety of the 2016-17 season continuing to develop his game in the AHL.
