Bayern Munich vs. Bayer Leverkusen score: Lewandowski, Gnabry continue scoring form for Bavarians

Bayern Munich kept up its fantastic attacking form on Saturday by beating Bayer Leverkusen 4-2 as the team moved ever so close to winning the Bundesliga title. The Bavarians scored three times in the first half and finished off the hosts with Robert Lewandowski's goal in the second half to move 10 points clear of Borussia Dortmund ahead of the black and yellow side's match against Hertha Berlin. Leverkusen didn't stand much of a chance without the injured Kai Havertz (couldn't go after warmups), but Peter Bosz's side took the early lead before the inevitable Bayern comeback. Leverkusen had a chance to move into the top four but is still in good shape for a Champions League spot.

Here are three takeaways from the match:

Goretzka earning more minutes

Leon Goretzka isn't quite at the point where he's going to take over for Thiago as the sure starter, but he is getting there. He's a completely different style than the Spanish international, but the team hasn't missed Thiago's creativity since his adductor injury. Goretzka was fantastic once again on both ends, and his top highlight shows it perfectly. With Bayern down 1-0, he stole the ball with pressure in the middle and assisted the equalizer from Kingsley Coman. Take a look:

As good as its gets when transitioning from defense to attack and having one player pretty much do it all. Coman's finish was fantastic, but Goretzka played it to perfection.

Bayern's scoring form means title race is over

The title race is over. Bayern's attack just can't be stopped, and with four games to go, there is a chance they can clinch the league next weekend depending on what Dortmund does. This four-goal output means the team has scored at least four goals in three out of their last four matches. With 15 goals since play returned, Bayern has scored 63 more goals than it has conceded in its last 24 games. There's just no chance they fall off the map and slip up.

The team is doing it in a variety of ways, but the ability to play the ball long and quickly strike on the counter means this team is still the favorite to win a game despite going down early.

Just look how quickly they strike:

As clinical as it comes in the Bundesliga.

Lewandowski, Muller suspended for next league game

Lewandowski and Thomas Muller both picked up yellow cards meaning they are suspended for next weekend's game against Borussia Monchengladbach. But they should still play in the team's next game on Wednesday against Eintracht Frankfurt in the DFB Pokal semifinals.

With the title race pretty much over and these two regularly starting, a little break would be welcome with them returning with three games to go on the season.

This will give others a chance at more minutes and potentially set up them clinching the title on Tuesday, May 16 at Werder Bremen.

The Polish striker got his 30th league goal in this one and was assisted by Muller:

With those two out, we may see Serge Gnabry and Coman start the game in attack.

⚽ Bayern Munich - Kingsley Coman (27')

There it is!

4-1! Lewandowski in the 66th minute! A turnover from Leverkusne in defense sees Kimmich play the ball through, and Muller puts a ball in the box that Lewandowski heads in with ease. Game. Over.

Bayern looking to kill this one off

Bayern is going for its fourth with Davies seeing plenty of the ball down the left. Leverkusen looks to have no path back into this one with a half an hour to go.
