Last June a statue of Lionel Messi was erected in Argentina just after the team lost the Copa America final to Chile. Now, it is unrecognizable. According to Telefe in Argentina, it was vandalized and cut in half. Take a look.

The statue is in the process of being rebuilt, and it looks like the culprit or culprits aren't known. Still a weird thing to do.
