Paris Saint-Germain may have won Le Classique against Marseille on Sunday, but in the end, it may have lost its top player. The Parisians secured a 3-0 win in Ligue 1 play but superstar Neymar had to be stretchered off the field in tears just a week and change before a pivotal Champions League second-leg clash against Real Madrid in the round of 16.

Neymar appeared to have twisted his ankle in the aftermath of a challenge with Bouna Sarr. Here's the video:

Now, it didn't look good, but it would be wise to wait and see what the team doctors say before jumping to conclusion. If he is unable to play against Real Madrid with PSG down 3-1 after the first leg, then it's hard to envision a comeback at the Parc des Princes.

After the match, PSG coach Unai Emery said, "If I had to pick my Real Madrid side now, I would say that Neymar could feature. The first look says it is a sprain. There will be further tests to be totally sure. We are optimistic."

According to Globo, Neymar went to the hospital and those who went with him told the publication that he has a lot of swelling in his ankle. Edinson Cavani also said that Neymar was still crying in the locker room

We'll keep you updated on the situation over the coming days.
