Gibbs is off to a strong start during his sophomore season in the Cup Series, posting four top-five finishes and seven top-10s, leading 349 laps across 13 races.
He is still seeking his first career Cup Series win, and this would be a fitting track as it sits near Joe Gibbs Racing headquarters.
