Florida State is closing strong on National Signing Day and held onto in-state, four-star running back Amir Rasul out of Coral Gables when he committed live on CBSSports' Signing Day Live Show.
Rasul, the No. 9 running back prospect on 247Sports Composite Rankings, chose to stay in the state of Florida with the Seminoles rather than go to Alabama or North Carolina. Rasul noted the connection he felt with the coaching staff and the school itself, and how he and his family were able to sit down with Jimbo Fisher and feel comfortable with Florida State as the best place for him going forward.
With the additions the Seminoles have made on National Signing Day like Rasul, Florida State has moved into the No. 5 spot in the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings as of 11:00 a.m. ET.
