What to Know

Liberty is 1-0 against Middle Tennessee since October of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Liberty Flames will be playing at home against the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders at 11:00 p.m. ET at Williams Stadium. The timing seems to be in Liberty's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Middle Tennessee has not had much luck on the away from home, with four straight road losses.

Liberty gave up the first points last Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They strolled past Jacksonville State with points to spare, taking the game 31-13. The score was all tied up 10-10 at the break, but Liberty was the (much) better team in the second half.

Liberty can attribute much of their success to Quinton Cooley, who rushed for 163 yards and two touchdowns. Cooley is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Kaidon Salter also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Meanwhile, Middle Tennessee earned a 31-23 victory over Louisiana Tech on Tuesday. The over/under was set at 53.5 points, so nice work oddsmakers; you were right on the money.

Nicholas Vattiato looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 248 yards and two touchdowns while completing 79.3% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Jaiden Credle was another key contributor, rushing for 65 yards and a touchdown.

Their wins bumped Liberty to 7-0 and Middle Tennessee to 2-6.
