Miami wide receiver Rashawn Scott has been suspended "indefinitely" for a violation of team rules, the school announced Saturday.

The sophomore was the second starter scratched from Saturday's Coastal Division matchup with Virginia for disciplinary reasons, along with linebacker Eddie Johnson.

Scott is the Hurricanes' second-leading receiver with 512 yards and three touchdowns on 35 catches. He and fellow sophomore Phillip Dorsett have broken out this season as a dominating pair on the outside for Stephen Morris -- currently fifth in the ACC averaging 264.9 yards passing per game.

The Hurricanes entered halftime trailing Virginia 28-24 in an admittedly unexpected shootout. Track the second half at the ACC Scoreboard and follow @CBSSportsACC for updates.
