Who's Playing

No. 13 Baylor @ TCU

Current Records: Baylor 7-1; TCU 3-5

What to Know

The Baylor Bears have enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they must head out on the road. Baylor and the TCU Horned Frogs will face off in a Big 12 battle at 3:30 p.m. ET last week at Amon G. Carter Stadium. The Bears have some work to do to even out the 1-4 series between these two since November of 2016, but a win here would be a good start.

Baylor beat the Texas Longhorns 31-24 two weeks ago. It was another big night for Baylor's LB Abram Smith, who rushed for one TD and 113 yards on 20 carries.

Meanwhile, the contest between TCU and the Kansas State Wildcats two weeks ago was not a total blowout, but with TCU falling 31-12 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one. RB Kendre Miller put forth a good effort for the losing side as he picked up 102 yards on the ground on 14 carries. Miller's longest run was for 61 yards in the second quarter.

The Bears are the favorite in this one, with an expected 7.5-point margin of victory. They are currently three-for-three against the spread in their most recent games, a trend bettors might want to take into account.

Baylor is now 7-1 while the Horned Frogs sit at 3-5. Two defensive stats to keep an eye on: Baylor is 163rd worst in the nation in rushing touchdowns allowed, with 13 on the season. TCU has experienced some rushing struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the game with the 246th most rushing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up 28 on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
