Johnson produced eight points (3-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds and an assist over 22 minutes in Monday's 104-78 preseason win over the Clippers.

Johnson will open the season as the starting small forward in the wake of Gordon Hayward's finger injury, but is only expected to play a complementary role. Still, the Jazz probably need more than what he's provided during the exhibition slate, as Johnson has hit only 10-of-32 shots (31.2%) from the field. If Johnson is unable to shake off the slump when the regular season commences, Joe Ingles could end up seeing some unexpected run at small forward.
