  • The Mavericks won't sign Harris for the rest of the season after his second 10-day contract expired Wednesday, Marc Stein of ESPN.com reports. Harris has been a standout for the Mavs' D-League affiliate this season with averages of 26.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 39.0 minutes per game, but he didn't make much of any impact during his two 10-day contracts with the big club. He only appeared in four games for the Mavericks, averaging 2.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in 6.3 minutes per game. Harris will now head back to the Legends and can be signed by any of the other 29 NBA teams if he's deemed worthy.

He'll rejoin the big club ahead of Monday's game against the Thunder, although he's not a part of the Mavericks' regular rotation and may not see the court in a competitive contest.

Harris was assigned to the D-League on Saturday, Earl Sneed of Mavs.com reports. Both Harris and Jarrod Uthoff were assigned to the Texas Legends, and the pair will be available Saturday night against Austin. The former Michigan standout has appeared in four games since signing with the Mavs earlier in the month, but he's played more than four minutes in only one of those contests.

  • Harris has signed a second 10-day contract with the Mavericks, Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com reports. Harris has taken part in three games for the Mavericks since signing his first 10-day deal, averaging 2.0 points and 2.7 rebounds across 7.0 minutes per outing. He's only logged a few spot minutes, but coach Rick Carlisle has liked what he's seen and will bring Harris back for another 10 days for additional evaluation before potentially signing him for the rest of the season. That said, unless an injury occurs higher up on the depth chart, Harris remains off the fantasy radar.

  • Mavericks' Manny Harris: Assigned to D-League
    By RotoWire Staff

Harris was assigned Friday to the D-League's Texas Legends, Dwain Price of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Harris, who was signed to a 10-day contract by the Mavericks earlier in the week, played two minutes in Friday's win over the Nets, marking his first NBA appearance since 2013-14. He's expected to suit up for the Legends in their game Saturday against the Austin Spurs and will be in line for much more extensive run than he would have had he remained with the Mavericks for their game Saturday against the Suns.
