The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series schedule has made road racing a priority, introducing new road races in Austin and Elkhart Lake. Now, the top stock car racing circuit will throw another new road race at its drivers, the 2021 Verizon 200, which takes place on Sunday. The race will run at a 14-turn setup at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway, with the green flag dropping at 1 p.m. ET. The Brickyard is most famed for its oval hosting the Brickyard 400 and Indianapolis 500, but its road course has also hosted high-profile racing, including an Xfinity Series race last year and Formula One from 2000 to 2007.

At the Brickyard, the model called Harvick's fourth victory of the season. Then during the 2020 NASCAR Playoffs, the model nailed its NASCAR picks in back-to-back races, calling Denny Hamlin to win at 17-2 at Talladega and Chase Elliott to win at 7-2 at the Charlotte Roval.

In the 2021 season, McClure nailed Martin Truex Jr. to win at Martinsville for a strong 3-1 payout. The model also nailed Kyle Larson winning the NASCAR All-Star Race at 5-2 and hit Larson again at the Ally 400 for another 5-2 payout. Then at Road America it struck again, nailing Chase Elliott to win for another 5-2 return. Last week, it also nailed the top five drivers at Watkins Glen. Top 2021 Verizon 200 predictions

One surprise: the model is high on Alex Bowman, even though he's a huge 30-1 long shot in the latest NASCAR at the Brickyard odds 2021. He's a target for anyone looking for a huge payday. After making the NASCAR playoffs the last three seasons, Bowman slid from the No. 88 car for Hendrick Motorsports to the No. 48 car that Jimmie Johnson made famous and has made his way to victory lane a career-high three times already.

Bowman has won at Richmond, Dover and Pocono this season and will enter Sunday's race at 11th in the NASCAR standings. While he doesn't have a road win under his belt in a Cup car or Xfinity car, he has shown dramatic improvement as a road racer in recent years. All seven of Bowman's top-10 finishes on road courses have come since the start of the 2018 season, which includes top-10s in his first career runs at the Charlotte road course, Circuit of the Americas and the Daytona road course.

And a massive shocker: Austin Cindric, a road specialist and one of the Vegas favorites, stumbles big-time and barely cracks the top 20. Cindric has been given a Cup ride for Roger Penske six times in 2021, but hasn't finished better than 15th and was outside the top 20 in his last five Cup starts. That includes a 25th-place finish and a 38th-place finish in two road starts despite starting inside the top five in both races.
