In last year's NASCAR at Richmond spring race, Alex Bowman picked up his first win of the season when he pushed to the front of the pack for the final 10 laps of the race. Bowman is off to another strong start this season with a win in Las Vegas and a second place finish last weekend at Austin, but should he be included in your NASCAR DFS lineup on Sunday for the 2022 Toyota Owners 400? Which NASCAR DFS strategy should you use as the 3:30 p.m. ET green flag approaches?

Bowman picked up a win in his final short track course of last season at Martinsville, but for the last three years, other drivers like Brad Keselowski, Chase Elliott and Denny Hamlin have all had far better driving ratings for tracks that check in under a mile. Before you make your NASCAR DFS picks for the 2022 Toyota Owners 400, be sure to check out the optimal NASCAR at Richmond DFS strategy and advice from SportsLine's Mike McClure.

McClure has won almost $2 million in his career as a daily Fantasy pro, and his NASCAR DFS driver pool, projections and advice can help you score a big win on Sunday.

Last week, McClure was extremely high on Chase Elliott in his EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix picks on sites like DraftKings and FanDuel, who finished fourth after starting 12th in the grid. Two weeks ago, he was high on Martin Truex Jr. who battled up from 26 to finish eighth at the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500. His model, which simulates every race 10,000 times, called seven outright winners last season. Anybody who has followed his picks has seen huge returns.

Anybody who has followed his picks has seen huge returns. Now, he's turned his attention to Sunday's 2022 Toyota Owners 400. He's only sharing his picks and NASCAR DFS driver pool here.

Top 2022 Toyota Owners 400 NASCAR DFS picks

For NASCAR at Richmond, McClure is high on Austin Cindric ($7,200 on DraftKings and $7,800 on FanDuel). After opening the year with a win at the Daytona 500, life hasn't gone as smoothly in subsequent races despite starting near the top of the NASCAR grid most of the time. Last week in the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix, he led for 11 laps and finished in eighth after starting 10th.

Cindric only drove in one short track race last season, inthe 2021 Toyota Owners 400, and finished 28th even though he started at the rear of the pack. For the season, Cindric has 410 quality passes, which ranks within the top nine NASCAR drivers this year. He'll look for more as he looks to follow up last week with another strong outing.

Another part of McClure's optimal NASCAR DFS strategy also includes rostering Joey Logano ($9,200 on DraftKings, $12,000 on FanDuel), who is third in total points this season with 185. Logano also has an impressive recent history at Richmond, with three top-five finishes in his last five appearances. He'll be looking to bounce back from last week's race, when he finished 31st despite finishing in the top five during both race stages.

This season, Logano leads all drivers in laps completed inside the top 15 of the pack with 1,102. In last year's Toyota Owners 400, he led for 49 laps and had the third-highest driver rating in the field with 121.2. Richmond could be just what the doctor ordered for Logano, who has led just 33 total laps so far this season.

How to set 2022 NASCAR at Richmond DFS lineups

McClure is also targeting an undervalued driver set to return plenty of value. He's in a prime position to make a run at the checkered flag and comes at a price that won't break the bank. You can see who it is, and every other pick, right here.
