Team USA faces Spain in the gold medal game of the 2012 Olympic men's basketball tournament. It's Coach K's last game as head coach for Team USA, and is likely Kobe Bryant's last game for Team USA. It will be their toughest challenge yet, facing a Spanish team in a rematch of the 2008 gold medal game. We'll have continuing coverage throughout the game, and you can follow along with us here on Scribble as we bring you analysis and news on the events unfolding in London.

Team USA wins the gold medal, 107-100. Kevin Durant finished with a blistering 30 points but LeBron James was the difference late, driving for a huge dunk and nailing a bold (borderline bad shot) three to clinch it. Chris Paul also came up huge late with several key plays at both ends to help seal the victory. Foul trouble for both Pau and Marc Gasol significantly hampered Spain and helped Team USA get to the rim and kickstart their offense.

Kobe Bryant retires from Olympic play with his second gold medal.
