Canelo Alvarez will make his return to super welterweight on Saturday night in Arlington, Texas, when he faces WBO super welterweight champion Liam Smith on HBO PPV.
Alvarez, a former 154-pound champion, most recently fought as the WBC middleweight champion, although he never fought at the full 160-pound middleweight limit. Alvarez fought twice for the WBC middleweight belt, winning both of those fights against Miguel Cotto and Amir Khan.

Alvarez's win over Cotto was an impressive exhibition of technical skill and power, while his win over Khan came with a thunderous right hand that knocked Khan out cold.
