BYU lost more than a game and its chances of an undefeated season Friday night.
Quarterback Taysom Hill left the game late in the first half after having his left leg rolled onto by a defender while being tackles. Coach Bronco Mendenhall confirmed after the game that Hill had suffered a lower-leg fracture and that he'll miss the next three or four months.
That will effectively end his 2014 season.
Hill had been a Heisman darkhorse for the Cougars this year. He finishes the season with 975 yards passing, 463 yards rushing and 15 total touchdowns.
