The race toward the College Football Playoff continued to heat up in Week 12 after we saw a bit of a shakeup near the top of the CFP Rankings early last week. All of the teams firmly in contention were in action this weekend as they all looked to either secure their positioning or even improve their status here in mid-November.
No. 4 Georgia certainly did well enough to secure its position as the final team in the field with a 21-14 victory on the road over No. 12 Auburn in the latest edition of the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry. No. 8 Minnesota was not so lucky, however, as the Gophers were dealt the same fate as many others before them by falling in Kinnick Stadium to No. 20 Iowa. In the highlight game of the evening, No. 13 Baylor jumped out to a huge lead but was unable to fend off Oklahoma's largest comeback in school history in a 34-31 thriller in Waco. To cap it all off late night, Pac-12 favorites Oregon and Utah each took one step closer to what looks like an inevitable matchup in the conference title game come December.
There was a lot to cover with those games and everything in between. CBS Sports was here every step of the way to update you with the latest scores, highlights and storylines throughout the day. All times Eastern
