LSU's white and gold uniforms are some of the best in college football, which means any alternate it unveils better impress.
Well, the Tigers have unveiled a new "Gridiron Gold" alternate for their Week 3 game against Mississippi State and, goodness, they are legit.
A release from the university states the uniforms "feature Old Gold jerseys reminiscent of the color the Tigers wore during the 1940s. The white helmet with the numbering is an homage to LSU's lid from 1957-71. Meanwhile, the gold uniforms haven't been worn since 1998.
