Former Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott is no longer just a great preseason story in the NFL; he's an official starter for the Dallas Cowboys.

Granted, Prescott is getting his chance because of a back injury to Tony Romo -- he is expected to be sidelined for several weeks -- but it's not like Prescott hasn't earned the job. In his preseason games, Prescott completed nearly 80 percent of his passes for 454 yards and five touchdowns, plus no interceptions. He also rushed for a pair of scores.

Prescott, owner of 38 school records, was also a once-in-a-generation player for the Bulldogs in college and has a legitimate claim as the best to ever come through the program. Understandably, Mississippi State is proud of Prescott, who was the highest drafted player to play quarterback for the Bulldogs in program history (Round 4, No. 135 overall). To show their support, a number of digital billboards by Mississippi State featuring Prescott in a Bulldogs and Cowboys uniform will be shown on Sunday for the season opener:

The billboard reads "Wherever you go, we go with you. Family. Good Luck Dak. From State to Sundays."

According to a release, the billboards will be shown along the following highways: I-20 East bound, I-30 West bound, Highway 287 North bound, Highway 287 South bound, and Highway 174 North bound.
