LSU starting defensive tackle Davon Godchaux was arrested early Monday morning and charged with domestic abuse battery, child endangerment and false imprisonment, according to police reports obtained by The Advocate.

The charges came after Godchaux and his girlfriend got in an argument and he allegedly refused to let her leave and forcibly pulled her back into the apartment on two occasions -- once by her hair and once by her shoulder -- when she tried to leave with their 10-month old child, according to police reports obtained by WAFB.

Godchaux had started all four games for the Tigers this season and was fourth on the team with 20 tackles so far in 2016.

This is new interim coach Ed Orgeron's first disciplinary issue to deal with after he was introduced formally at a Monday press conference, and a team spokesman told The Advocate that the program has placed Godchaux on indefinite suspension following the arrest.
