The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reported Monday that Texas Tech redshirt junior wide receiver Reginald Davis was arrested Monday on suspicion of marijuana possession.

Per the Avalanche-Journal, Lubbock police said Davis was pulled over for a traffic stop at approximately noon Monday, during which officers allegedly found "less than two ounces of marijuana in Davis's possession." Davis was later released from the the Lubbock County Detention Center.

A Texas Tech spokesperson told the Avalanche-Journal the school was "aware of the situation" and continuing to "gather information" regarding the arrest.

Davis appeared in 25 games for the Red Raiders over the past two seasons, catching 15 passes as a freshman and 29 as a sophomore last fall, though Davis finished the 2014 season making only four catches in the Raiders' final five games. His 318 yards placed him sixth on the team in receiving.
