Stanford and UCF announced a home-and-home series Friday scheduled for the 2015 and 2019 seasons. The first game will be played at Stanford on Sept. 12, 2015 with the Cardinal making the return trip to Orlando on Sept. 14, 2019.
Not only will the series mark the first time the two programs have ever played, but it will mark a couple other firsts for both programs.
When UCF heads to Palo Alto in 2015 it'll be the first time the Knights have ever played a game in the state of California, and 2019 meeting will be the first time it's ever hosted a Pac-12 opponent.
Then there's Stanford, which has played three bowl games in the state of Florida, but has never played a regular season game against a team from Florida.
