Over the past few years, we've seen college football games played in NFL palaces and even on baseball fields. Well, it seems the next football frontier is racetracks.

And, honestly, this idea is just awesome. As you can see in the photo above, the track is almost perfect for a football game and as Bruce mentions in his tweet, you can fit a whole lot of people in the place.

It's also a perfect location for another reason. Blacksburg, Va., and Knoxville, Tenn., are separated by about three and a half hours on Interstate 81. Just about halfway between them on the state border between Virginia and Tennessee just off Interstate 81?

You guessed it. Bristol Motor Speedway. It's a perfect location for this game.

This will be the first time the two schools have met since the 2009 Peach Bowl, and the ninth meeting ever. Of course the last meeting to take place during the regular season was in 1937, so it's been a while.
