What to Know

The Oregon State Beavers are 1-3 against the Arizona State Sun Devils since November of 2017, but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. Oregon State and ASU will face off in a Pac-12 battle at 10:30 p.m. ET at Reser Stadium. These two teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.

When you finish with 231 more yards than your opponent like the Beavers did last week, a favorable outcome is almost sure to follow. They were the clear victors by a 35-14 margin over the Stanford Cardinal. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Oregon State had established a 28-7 advantage. Oregon State QB Chance Nolan was slinging it as he passed for two TDs and 257 yards on 25 attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown. Nolan's 67-yard touchdown toss to WR Trevon Bradford in the third quarter made for one of the most memorable moments of the evening.

Meanwhile, the Washington Huskies were up 24-14 over ASU going into the fourth quarter last week, but ASU stole the victory right from under the Huskies' nose in the closing minutes for a final score of 35-30. The win came about thanks to a strong surge after the first quarter to overcome a 14 to nothing deficit. It was another big night for the Sun Devils' RB Rachaad White, who rushed for two TDs and 184 yards on 32 carries. One of those touchdowns came with 1:18 remaining to put ASU in the lead for good.

The Beavers are expected to lose this next one by 3. There could be an interesting gambling play in this one, as they have done quite well against the spread at home this season while ASU have struggled against the spread on the road.

Oregon State is now 6-4 while ASU sits at 7-3. A couple defensive stats to keep an eye on: Oregon State is 199th worst in the nation in passing touchdowns allowed, with 18 on the season. The Sun Devils have experienced some struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the contest with the 184th most rushing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up 15 on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
