Romine returned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.
Romine gave the Angels' added catching depth when both Max Stassi and Kurt Suzuki hit the COVID-19 injured list in early May. He got into three games, going 2-for-8 at the plate, and will return to the minors with Suzuki now back on the active roster.
